2021 - what a year! I wanted to take this moment to reflect on both my life and my art journey this year. 

This year I really expanded in new areas I had not done previously - making short videos, actually putting together small comics and even working on commissions consistently! All things I really didn't have the energy for, things I didn't think I could do. 

Overall, 2021 was a good year for me. I finally got my own place with my partner, and my mental health has been at an all-time high. Even my job has improved with my newest manager and an increase in staffing. 

With this jump in mental health, I finally really realized how much of my creativity is tied to it - I used to get exhausted attempting comics or commissions - part of me is still hesitant to try these things, out of fear I'll tire out of them quickly. So little by little I'm pushing myself, encouraging and reminding myself that things weren't like they were before, that I can really "do it" this time. 

Counting one drawing I haven't posted yet - I got 200 digital drawings this year, on the dot (and assuming I don't make anything new tomorrow!). It's significantly more than the more recent years, rivaling my productivity when I was in middle/highschool (but who can really out-produce a 13 year old with a camera and printer paper?). 

I am looking forward to 2022- I think there is a lot of uncertainty, but I am looking forward to it, no matter what. I wish all my followers good health, good wealth, and a wonderful 2022!
